Welcome to the LGSA House League Program!
The LGSA House League program is designed to provide an introduction to the sport of softball. Games are held in May through July at Nicholas Dowden Park. Teams are coached by parent volunteers. House League is intended to teach softball skills in a recreational atmosphere.
Residency & Eligibility Requirements:
LGSA is open to Libertyville residents, and those residing in the surrounding areas. All children will be given the opportunity to play regardless of their ability to pay.
Levels of Play:
Please take a moment to read the school age/grade eligibility requirements for each level of play. Register your child for the appropriate level based on these guidelines. The goal of LGSA is to field fair and balanced teams to create an enjoyable and safe experience for all the children in the league.
Player Equipment:
Each player will be provided the following:
- A game jersey
- A pair of socks
Each player is responsible for their own:
- Pants
- Cleats
- Batting Helmet
- Face Shield (Please see division pages for position requirements.)
- Glove
Team Equipment:
Each team will be provided with the following:
- Softballs
- Batting Tee (If applicable)
- Catcher's Equipment (If applicable)
